2007 Marketing Competition Results
The ICAS Marketing Competition and Photo Contest is conducted to
recognize and showcase excellence in air show marketing and to
expose ICAS members to the wide spectrum of creative ideas that
have proven successful to their peers. This year’s award
recipients were selected during judging that was held several
weeks before the ICAS Convention. Although the specific criteria
varied from category to category, entries were judged based on
design, copywriting, printing quality, creativity, and overall
effectiveness as a marketing tool.
The top three finalists in each category were recognized during
the ICAS Marketing Competition Awards Luncheon on Wednesday,
December 12, 2007, at the Rio All-Suites Hotel in Las Vegas,
Nevada.
The Gathering of Mustangs and Legends was the big winner with
three first place awards and one third place award. The
Fairbault Area Skyfest, Deke Slayton Airfest and Jacquie ‘B’ Air
Shows also walked away from the luncheon with multiple awards.
All 28 first place winners were recognized and received a plaque
for their accomplishments within the
air show industry.
